出国留学，很多人是为了锻炼自己独当一面的能力，因为出国后任何事都得自己操办，一旦漏掉一条信息，就可能最终误了大事。距离今年开学季也不远了，小诺今年就给即将在今年秋天远赴英国留学的同学们带来一条重要信息：如果你已满16周岁，并将于英国生活6个月以上，那么就必须在抵英后的7天之内到当地警察局注册，即签证上面标明“Police Registration within 7 days of Arrival in UK”字样的，都需要去警局进行注册。
大家别拿到签证就不管事，只看照片够不够美/帅，签证里面的内容也要仔细阅读哦！有些英国大学会在校园里面统一为学生安排警察局注册，你只需要准备好学校要求的资料，然后坐等警察来收集就好。但是，如果你错过了学校安排的注册时间，或是你的大学不安排注册，那就需要你亲自前往警察局进行注册了。你需要带上这些：
- 护照原件
- 英国签证纸和BRP的原件
- 两张护照照片
- 学业证明材料（比如你的offer letter）
- 填好的申请表（警察局的官网就可以下载到）
- £34现金（有些地方不找零）
注册成功后拿到的注册单非常非常重要！一定要保管好，弄丢了补办的时候仍然需要缴纳£34，且续签的时候需要出示这个注册证明。如果没有按照要求注册，续签可能会比较麻烦。如果你有什么变化没有及时通知警察局，轻则会收到口头警告，重则会在你的注册单上盖红章，到时候续签就需要你拼人品了。
之后在英国生活，有以下变化的时候，也要及时通知警察局：
- 住址有所变动
- 就读院校有所变动
- 结婚或者生孩子
- 签证期限延长
- 换了新护照
警察局很多，具体去哪个可以问下学校。伦敦的同学们注意，凡是在伦敦地区的学生都必须去Overseas Visitors Records Office注册。非伦敦的孩子，可以先问下学校具体在哪个警局注册，给你们贴几个警察局的信息。
